Although Upminster only brought one U8s side, Coach Barry kept the Acorns U8s rotated side involved, educated and entertained during their alternate 10 min rests!
The Acorns U8s group came up against a robust and well-drilled Upminster team but, after coming off very much second best in the early exchanges, they lived up to Joseff Rees’ pre-match mantra, “Never Give Up”, and grew into their matches as the session progressed. They demonstrated greater tenacity in defence and better appreciation of space in attack.
