At a sun-drenched Ashwells Rd our ever-smiling U9s carried straight on where they left off last week with fearless tackling throughout in only their second ever tackling match. The 2 first principles of rugby (‘Go Forward’ & ‘Support’) were shown throughout by both sides.

I’m really enjoying helping this team out who have great support from their parents and families; we just need a few more to bolster the numbers as a few have switched to roundball this season (as happens when it switches to Sundays in Year 4) - keep spreading the word folks!

Big thanks to Upminster for lending us a couple of players. The spirit throughout was great and there was not a single crossed word between any of the children. What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning!

Well done all for your hard work and for playing rugby with a smile on your faces! We’re back to it at home again next Sunday against Old Cooperians. See you there!
