Remembrance Sunday
This Sunday saw OB’s face Epping & Upper Clayton in a cup match.
The match got underway after a 2-minute silence was well observed by both teams.
The match started off fairly evenly with some good tackles and defence from both teams.
As the game progressed Epping began to dominate with more possession and displayed some well drilled passing and excellent rucking skills.
Epping took the lead and went 20-0 ahead despite some solid defending from OB’s.
OB’s managed to get back a couple of tries with some excellent runs and scores by Keve and Elliott.
The game finished 35-15 to Epping and they displayed some superior skills and were deserved winners.
On the plus side OB’s defence on several occasions where Epping were close to scoring was outstanding and the match saw some much improved tackling from the boys since the start of the season.
The match saw the return of head coach John after some time off for an operation and the boys were presented with their club ties afterwards.
