Old Brentwoods RFC entered the Abbey RFC Fat Boys tournament for the the second year on the bounce. The OB's took a team of 12 lads, with a great mixture of youth & experience with some colts making their first senior away 7's tour.

With ground conditions at Abbey RFC being hard and relatively unplayable, the tournament was turned into touch tournament. Most the squad disappointed however following a heavy Friday, I think they were all pleasantly relieved.

OB's dominated the first game winning by 7 ties to 1, and at one point being down to 5 men due to a yellow card and Fat Boy rules. The next two games were a lot harder, with OB's drawing both games and coming from behind in both.

We reached the Quarter Finals with the lads now coming up against their hardest opponents, sadly they were too good for the social OB's Team whose half time beers couldn't bring them back from being 4 tries down at half time.

Will Mead ended the tournament as top try scorer, and overall is top 7's try scorer of the season so far!

All the Lads had a great weekend overall, and we will definitely be heading back for the tournament in 2019.
