Old Brentwoods 22 (Tries: Wilkinson, Lennox, Wilkinson, Yeldham. Con: Mason)
Stanford 39
- STAN TRY – good initial defence from the home side. Basil Letts making a good hit. After multiple phases in the hosts’ 22, Stanford found an overlap out wide and went over for the opening score.
- OBs TRY – from the restart, OBs created pressure and forced a scrum. Massive scrum dominance forced the visitors back 20m to their own 5m line, and won a penalty. OBs opted for another scrum, and pushed Stanford back over their own line for No.8 Sam Wilkinson to simply dot down for a score thanking the front five for there work.
- OBs TRY – Stanford took a quick penalty and tried to attack from their own line, but the ball was dropped. OBs Zach Yeldham pounced on the loose ball and Captain James Lennox crashed over for his first try of the season. Tim Mason added conversion.
- STAN PEN TRY – Stanford again attacked wide and found an overlap. Stanford fullback looked to be in for the try but winger Senna Ahmet showed great speed and determination to make his way from the far side wing and made a last-ditch cover tackle to prevent the certain try. Unfortunately for Ahmet his tackle attempt came in high and was illegal. Referee sin binned the OBs defender and awarded a penalty try.
- Lennox injured, Sam Wilkinson took over as captain.
- Liam Stone on for Lennox
