| On a wet and windy afternoon, the Old Brentwoods side started slowly and allowed Brentwood in early on from a quickly-taken penalty. The conversion was missed.
| This spurred on the home side: a spirited surge against the elements ended with a nicely-worked move between Reeves and Hannaway, releasing Peace who rounded the winger and full back to score.
In the second half the Old Boys pack had to work hard and gutsy performances from Bristow, Davis and Tomlinson saw the pressure mount. A breakaway kick-and-chase from O'Connor gave them the lead and this was followed by a blindside move from a scrum, with full back Peace putting in scrum half Hughes for a try. With Reeves converting twice the final score was 19-5.
| The Old Brentwoods side had two new debutants and prop Gorrod celebrating his 33rd season, aged 50, and are always on the lookout for new players.
